Historical Note

The Old Rectory was constructed in the 1820’s after the previous Rectory, situated on the other side of the Church, had been taken down. The Church of St Bartholomew, adjacent to the Old Rectory, is Grade I listed and as constructed around the year 1100 on the site of an earlier building. The nearby Blore Hall was originally the home of the Bassett family who’s descendants included the HRH King Charles III
